The jaw self-check

Ten questions about how your jaw behaves — when you wake, when you concentrate, when you are under pressure. It takes about two minutes.

This is not a diagnosis. It is a structured way of noticing patterns that are easy to live with for years without registering them. Nothing you enter is stored, sent, or seen by us — the check runs entirely in your browser.

This self-check is general information, not a clinical assessment, and it cannot diagnose any condition. Jaw pain, clicking and tooth wear have several possible causes, and some of them are unrelated to the bite. Persistent or worsening symptoms should be assessed in person by a dentist or doctor.

Snoring and disturbed sleep are noted here because patients often raise them alongside jaw tension. They are not dental diagnoses. Sleep-disordered breathing, including sleep apnoea, is diagnosed and managed by sleep medicine specialists — where we suspect it, we work alongside the right specialists rather than in place of them.
