Ayurvedic medicine in London is delivered by qualified practitioners trained in the ancient Indian medical tradition that addresses health through diet, daily routine, herbal protocols, and body-mind balance. Dr Reena Sohal at Dental & Wellness London provides Ayurvedic consultations. She holds a Diploma Ayurvedic Therapist (Ayurveda Pura London 2017) and also a BDS (Liverpool 2006). Initial Ayurvedic consultation £75 · free 20-minute initial chat.

Important: Ayurvedic medicine in the UK operates as complementary care alongside conventional medicine. For urgent or emergency medical concerns, contact your GP or NHS 111 (or 999 in an emergency). DWL provides Ayurvedic and integrative wellness support alongside — not instead of — primary medical care.

Ayurvedic care sits alongside conventional medicine and dental care under one roof — complementary, never a substitute for GP-led care. For one common transition, see our guide to perimenopause.

This page is part of our wider guide to nutritional therapy, which sets out every option we offer side by side.

The UK doesn't have a single regulatory body for Ayurvedic practitioners. Voluntary professional associations (CNHC, APA, BAMC) provide registration. Reena's training is via Ayurveda Pura London, an established UK training institution, alongside her GDC-registered dental practice.
Yes. Many patients book Ayurvedic consultations independently of dental work. The dental side of her practice is separate; the Ayurvedic consultation stands on its own.
Usually yes, but with caveats. Some Ayurvedic herbs interact with prescription medications, particularly blood thinners, immunosuppressants, and certain psychiatric medications. Reena reviews your medication list at consultation and flags any interactions.
Yes — pulse reading, tongue assessment, and observational diagnostic methods from the Ayurvedic tradition are part of the consultation. These tools sit within the Ayurvedic framework; they're not used as substitutes for medical diagnosis.
Naturopathy is a broader Western tradition without a unified theoretical framework. Ayurveda is a specific traditional medical system with its own theoretical framework (the dosha model). DWL offers both — Reena for Ayurveda, Nicoletta for naturopathic approaches.
Reena's DWL practice is adult-focused. For children, we refer to qualified paediatric Ayurvedic practitioners with specific paediatric training.
