Ayurvedic medicine at Dental & Wellness London is delivered by Dr Reena Sohal, an Ayurvedic practitioner (Ayurvedic Therapist, trained at Ayurveda Pura London 2017) who also holds a BDS (GDC 104355, qualified Liverpool 2006). She provides Ayurvedic consultations only. Ayurvedic medicine is an ancient Indian system of integrative health based on individual constitutional types (vata, pitta, kapha) and the principle that health emerges from balance. Consultations address dietary, lifestyle, and herbal recommendations alongside referrals to bodywork and meditation practices where appropriate. Initial consultation 90 minutes, £75.

Important: Ayurvedic medicine in the UK operates as complementary care alongside conventional medicine. For urgent or emergency medical concerns, contact your GP or NHS 111 (or 999 in an emergency). DWL provides Ayurvedic and integrative wellness support alongside — not instead of — primary medical care.

Adults curious about integrative approaches to health beyond conventional Western medicine often find their way here — patients with chronic digestive concerns, sleep disturbance, energy or fatigue patterns, hormonal balance concerns, or stress-related health issues seeking a root-cause approach. Others have been frustrated by fragmented healthcare across multiple specialists and want an integrated assessment, or are simply interested in dietary, lifestyle, and herbal medicine alongside — or instead of — pharmaceutical intervention. If anxiety or panic is part of the picture, our page on panic attacks explains the support available.
The first contact is a complimentary 20-minute discovery call. The initial consultation (90 minutes, £75) is a comprehensive intake covering Ayurvedic constitutional assessment, current health concerns, lifestyle audit, sleep, digestion, energy, and emotional patterns, plus pulse and tongue assessment. A personalised plan is provided in writing, with dietary, lifestyle, and — where appropriate — herbal recommendations. Follow-up sessions (60 minutes, £50) run at 4-6 week intervals depending on the goals, coordinated with other DWL services where the patient's care journey crosses disciplines. If you are recovering after childbirth, our page on postpartum recovery explains the support we offer.
Patients often describe the consultation as 'finally being asked the questions other practitioners don't ask.' Outcomes vary by concern — meaningful improvement in digestive patterns and sleep typically within 4-6 weeks of consistent dietary and lifestyle work; hormonal and stress-pattern work typically takes 3-6 months. Ayurvedic medicine is best understood as a quiet, integrative practice rather than a quick-fix intervention. For women in midlife, our perimenopause care page explains how this work sits alongside medical care.

Constitutional patterns drive recurrent oral and systemic issues that conventional dentistry alone doesn’t always address. Both lenses, applied together, change what’s possible.
