Yes — children are welcome. Children's examinations are £45, and under-5s are free when seen alongside a parent's own examination. We're particularly experienced with anxious children, growing-jaw orthodontic cases (Invisalign Teen and First) and habit-related issues like bruxism in teenagers.
We ask for at least two working days' notice. Cancellations or missed appointments with less notice than that carry a £65 fee. We hold this line because a late cancellation leaves the slot empty for someone else — please call or message reception as early as you can, and we will usually be able to offer the time to another patient.
We accept most UK dental insurance for general treatment — Bupa, Denplan, Simplyhealth, AXA. Most plans cover routine examination and hygiene fully or partially. Cosmetic treatment (veneers, whitening, Invisalign) is typically not covered by health insurance. We can complete your insurance claim form at the appointment.
Dental & Wellness London is at 222 Essex Road, Islington, London N1 3AP, two minutes' walk from Essex Road station (Great Northern line). Highbury & Islington is about 15 minutes on foot and Angel about 15 to 20 minutes. Buses 38, 56, 73, 341 and 476 stop on Essex Road, and pay-and-display parking is available along Essex Road.

Second, technical depth: Dr Vishal Patel holds an MSc in Aesthetic & Restorative Dentistry from Manchester, and implants are placed by Dr Rishil Patel, an implant dentist with an MClinDent in Implantology. Third, the whole-health angle: an Ayurvedic practitioner (Dr Reena Sohal), a nutritional therapist (Nicoletta Peloni) and a somatic coach (Laura-Maria Schober) under one roof. Fourth, honest case selection: we recommend the conservative option, decline cases where appropriate, and refer out when that is what is needed.
Yes. We deliberately keep the same dentist with you for the duration of treatment. Reviews repeatedly mention this — patients value continuity over speed. The only exception is if a clinical handover is genuinely needed (e.g. surgical work referred to our implant dentist, or whole-health work referred to Dr Reena Sohal).
Yes. We offer 0% APR finance over 12 months via Tabeo, subject to status. Your treatment plan and fee are confirmed in writing before you decide.
A free 20-minute discovery call comes first — we talk through what you're considering and answer questions before recommending anything. For dental treatment, the first clinical appointment is a 30-minute examination (£65) including intra-oral scan and photographs. Invisalign consultations are free. For aesthetic medicine, the consultation is £65, redeemable in full against treatment. For wellness, it's a longer 60–90 minute initial consultation specific to the practitioner.
No - Dental Wellness London is a fully private clinic. We made that decision deliberately — to keep appointment times long, see the same dentist every visit, and offer treatments the NHS doesn't fund (Invisalign, white fillings on back teeth, cosmetic work, dental implants, integrated whole-health care). If you need NHS care, we can refer you to local NHS providers in Islington.
We offer extended hours on selected weekdays for working professionals — please check current availability when booking. We are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 7pm (Tuesday from 9am), by appointment only. We do not currently offer Saturday, Sunday or walk-in appointments. For genuine emergencies (severe pain, broken teeth, lost crowns), we do our best to see you same-day during normal opening hours.
