Profhilo isn't filler. It's an injectable bio-remodelling treatment that improves skin quality — texture, hydration, elasticity — without adding volume. Particularly well-matched to patients who don't need filler but want skin that ages slower.
Profhilo is an injectable hyaluronic-acid-based bio-remodelling product — categorically different from filler. Rather than adding structural volume it diffuses through the skin to hydrate tissue, stimulate collagen and elastin production, and improve overall skin quality. At Dental Wellness London Profhilo is administered by Dr Vishal Patel using the standardised 5-point injection technique on each side of the face (or equivalent for neck and hand treatment). Standard protocol is two sessions four weeks apart, with results developing over 8-12 weeks. £350 per session. Particularly well-matched to patients who don't need filler but want skin that ages slower.

Profhilo is a two-session protocol, four weeks apart. It starts with an assessment, not an injection.
Facial assessment with photography, and an honest view on whether Profhilo alone fits, a combined plan makes sense, or a different treatment is the right answer. The fee is redeemable in full against treatment.
The BAP (Bio Aesthetic Points) technique places five precise points per side of the face, allowing the product to spread through the tissue over the following hours. Injection time is around 15–20 minutes.
Identical protocol. The second dose is what sustains the bio-remodelling signal; single sessions alone don’t deliver the documented effect.
Most patients maintain with a single annual session. Some prefer to repeat the full two-session protocol every 12–18 months.

Ten small bumps at the injection points, usually settled within hours.
Hydration and glow begin to show after the first session.
The same protocol, sustaining the bio-remodelling response.
Around three months from starting, peaking around month 3–4.
A single annual session maintains the result for most patients.

The mechanism is gradual collagen/elastin stimulation rather than instant volume. Subtle improvements begin around week 2-3 after session 1. The most visible result is at 8-12 weeks after session 2, peaking around month 3-4.
Most patients maintain visible improvement for 4-6 months after the two-session protocol. Maintenance treatment (a single session) is typically annual to sustain results.
They're different treatments for different concerns. Profhilo improves skin quality and treats mild laxity without adding volume; dermal filler adds volume in specific areas. The right answer depends on what your skin actually needs, not which is "better".
Not directly. Unlike cross-linked HA fillers, which can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, Profhilo's structure biodegrades naturally over weeks and the effect simply fades over 4-6 months. Reversibility isn't typically needed since the effect is subtle and gradual.
Yes. The treatments address different concerns and can be combined. Most clinicians prefer anti-wrinkle treatment first, or in a separate visit, since anti-wrinkle effects settle in 1-2 weeks and Profhilo's effects take longer.
It will soften the appearance of fine horizontal neck lines and improve skin quality around them, but it won't erase set deep horizontal lines. The mechanism is skin quality improvement, not line erasure. Patients with significant set neck lines often benefit from combined approaches; we discuss at consultation.
Because Profhilo is a biostimulator, not a filler. Filler adds volume the moment it's placed — immediate visible change. Profhilo signals the skin to produce new collagen and elastin over 8–12 weeks — gradual change. The two treatments work on different timescales because they do different things. If you want immediate change, filler. If you want sustained skin quality improvement, Profhilo.
Filler lasts 6–18 months depending on product and area; Profhilo's effect lasts 6–9 months for most patients with maintenance recommended at that interval. Filler is sometimes longer-lasting per session but produces a different outcome. Profhilo's effect is cumulative across maintenance sessions — patients on their 3rd or 4th annual maintenance often see better skin quality than at first session.
Hydration and glow within 7–10 days; firmness and texture between weeks 6–8; peak result at weeks 8–12 after course completion. The biostimulator response is gradual by design — it's collagen and elastin production over weeks, not immediate volume addition. Patients who track in photographs see the change more clearly than those checking the daily mirror.
Profhilo is £350 per session, or £625 for two sessions. The fee for a neck and chest plan, or a combined face and neck plan, depends on the area and technique and is confirmed in writing at your consultation.
Yes. A single Profhilo session is £350, and two sessions are £625, a saving of £75. The starting protocol uses two sessions for full effect, so most new patients book the course. Maintenance sessions are priced individually at £350.
If you feel your face looks more 'done' than you wanted, possibly yes. We see patients in this position regularly. The typical pathway is to pause filler for 6–12 months while existing product metabolises and start Profhilo to restore skin quality during that time. The face shape gradually returns toward natural; the skin quality improves. Many of these patients then maintain on Profhilo alone with minimal-to-no future filler.
Profhilo Structura for body indications (arms, knees, inner thighs, abdomen) is £750 per session — a different product formulation and a larger treatment area than the facial protocol. Two-session starting course recommended; pricing per session not bundled at this point.
Most resolve within 4–6 hours; some linger 24–36 hours. By 48 hours the area should look normal. The bumps are the placed product spreading through tissue, not swelling or bruising. If a bump is still visible at 72 hours, call reception — we'll book a brief check appointment to confirm everything's normal.
6–9 months for most patients after the starting two-session course. Maintenance is typically every 6–9 months — one session sustains the result and adds cumulatively to previous gains. The effect doesn't drop off a cliff at month 9; it tapers gradually, and most patients book maintenance when they notice the firmness starting to reduce.
Similar to facial — 6–9 months before maintenance is typically needed. Some patients with less sun damage and better baseline skin quality go longer; others with significant baseline laxity benefit from 6-month maintenance. We assess at the 8-week review and recommend based on what we see.
It improves firmness and quality but doesn't produce surgical-level tightening. The mechanism is skin quality improvement via biostimulator — better hydration, texture, and tone. For mild-to-moderate laxity this is enough; for severe laxity the conversation should turn to surgical options.
Yes. We offer 0% APR finance over 12 months via Tabeo, subject to status. Profhilo is £350 per session, or £625 for two sessions. Your plan and fee are confirmed in writing before you decide.
Light mineral-based makeup is fine from 48 hours after treatment. Avoid touching or pressing the injection sites firmly when applying. Heavy makeup, oil-based products, and intensive coverage are best avoided for the first 48 hours to let any minor redness resolve naturally.
Yes — common pathway for over-filled patients. Pause filler, let existing product metabolise, start Profhilo to restore quality. Face shape returns toward natural while skin improves.
Not publicly on the website — GDC and ASA rules limit how aesthetic treatment results can be displayed in public marketing. In consultation we discuss what realistic outcomes look like for your specific case, and at the 8-week review we share your own before-and-after photographs taken in the same lighting at consultation and post-course.
Not during the 2-week integration window after each session. After that, other facial treatments are fine — many patients combine Profhilo course with LED light therapy, chemical peels (timed between sessions), or skin treatments. We map the combined schedule at the consultation appointment so everything sits in the right order.
Yes — combined same-day treatment is common and clinically appropriate. The aftercare protocol covers both areas at once. The combined session takes 45–60 minutes; you have a single recovery and a single 8-week review covering both.
Yes, and this is often the right answer when there's both quality and structural concerns. The typical sequencing: filler first in the genuinely volume-deficient areas, Profhilo 4 weeks later (and at the standard 4-week-apart second session) for overall quality. Don't combine on the same day in the same areas — let each settle and assess separately.
