Direct answer. Profhilo Structura is the body-indication version of Profhilo, formulated for skin-quality improvement on the arms, inner thighs, knees and abdomen where laxity from age, weight change or sun exposure has reduced firmness. It uses the same hyaluronic-acid biostimulator chemistry as facial Profhilo, adapted for the body. Two sessions a month apart; the result develops over eight to twelve weeks.
What Structura is
Profhilo Structura is a body-indication formulation from the same manufacturer as facial Profhilo, using the same thermal cross-linking technology. Functionally it is similar — pure hyaluronic acid acting as a biostimulator to trigger collagen and elastin production — but it comes in a higher-volume syringe designed for the larger surface areas of body skin. The clinical mechanism is unchanged: injected in a defined pattern, the product spreads through the tissue plane, prompts a fibroblast response, and improves skin quality over eight to twelve weeks. The differences from the facial product are the volume per session, the injection pattern adapted to each area, and the cost.
Where Structura works well
It is used on the inner arms, particularly the crepey upper-arm skin common from the forties onward; on the knees, for sagging skin above the kneecap after age or weight loss; on the inner thighs, for thinning skin; on the abdomen, for post-pregnancy or post-weight-loss skin quality; and on the upper chest, where it overlaps with décolletage work.
What it can and can't do
What it can do: improve firmness, hydration and texture in the treated area, soften a crepey appearance, and restore skin quality after weight change. What it can't do: reduce body fat — Profhilo has no effect on adipose tissue — tighten skin to the degree of a surgical lift, treat severe laxity that genuinely needs surgery, or replace exercise and nutrition for body composition.
Honest indication framing
Body skin laxity is a notoriously difficult cosmetic problem, because the skin in question is doing structural work — supporting underlying tissue mass — that facial skin does not have to do to the same degree. Treatments that produce dramatic results on the face often produce modest results on the body, and any clinic that pretends otherwise is overselling.
Structura is realistic about this. It improves quality; it does not transform structure. Patients who book it understanding that frame are routinely satisfied; patients told to expect surgical-level tightening are disappointed, not because the treatment underperformed but because the expectation was wrong. For significant post-pregnancy abdominal laxity, post-weight-loss arm or thigh laxity, or other structural concerns, we discuss surgical referral as an option alongside or instead of Structura. The right answer is sometimes Structura, sometimes surgical, sometimes both sequenced — and we say so plainly. It suits patients in their forties to sixties with early-to-moderate body skin-quality changes; post-weight-loss patients within about twelve months of their weight stabilising who want quality improvement; post-pregnancy patients with mild-to-moderate abdominal laxity; patients already having facial Profhilo who want to address body areas similarly; and patients who want a maintenance-pattern treatment rather than a one-off. It does not suit patients with severe laxity expecting surgical outcomes, anyone with active inflammatory skin in the area, those unwilling to commit to maintenance, or anyone seeking weight loss or body recomposition — a different conversation entirely.
How it integrates with other body services
Structura works best where the picture is multi-modal. Structura uses a larger product volume and an adapted technique over bigger areas, so it is priced separately and quoted in writing at your consultation rather than from a fixed list. Where a course or a combined face-and-body plan is involved, 0% APR finance over 12 months via Tabeo is available, subject to status, and the full plan is quoted in writing — including the do-nothing option — before anything is agreed, with a fourteen-day reflection period. Structura is a quality treatment for body skin, for patients who want quality improvement and understand the realistic outcome. It is not a body-transformation product and should not be sold as one.
