Coordinated Ayurvedic, nutritional, somatic and coaching support for the perimenopause transition — complementary to your GP and HRT, never a replacement for medical care.
Dental & Wellness London offers integrative perimenopause care in Islington N1 — combining Ayurvedic medicine (Dr Reena Sohal), nutritional therapy (Nicoletta Peloni), somatic therapy (Laura-Maria Schober), and life coaching (Binta Patel) to support women through hormonal transition without exclusively relying on HRT. Multi-practitioner approach to symptoms including sleep disruption, anxiety, weight changes, fatigue, and mood shifts. Free consultation. Complementary to GP/HRT care, not a substitute.

Perimenopause is the years-long hormonal transition that precedes menopause, typically beginning in a woman's forties, and lasting anywhere from a few years to a decade. It is a normal physiological stage, not an illness, but the shifts in oestrogen and progesterone can produce a wide range of symptoms: disrupted sleep, anxiety and low mood, weight and body composition changes, fatigue, brain fog, joint aches, and changes to skin, gut, and menstrual cycle. Hormonal change after childbirth is covered separately under postpartum recovery.
We offer integrative perimenopause care — a coordinated, whole-person approach delivered by four practitioners working together under one roof in Islington N1. Our care is complementary, not alternative: it works alongside your GP, your menopause specialist, and any HRT you may be using or considering. We do not diagnose, we do not prescribe hormones, and we do not ask anyone to choose between medical care and the support we offer.
The body is connected; we treat the whole system. Hormonal change rarely shows up in one place — it moves through sleep, digestion, stress physiology, mood, and metabolism at once. Our page on functional medicine describes a related whole-system approach.
Led by Dr Reena Sohal — BDS Liverpool, GDC 104355, Ayurvedic Therapist trained at Ayurveda Pura London. Ayurveda is a traditional practice, not Western medicine, and we present it as such. We do not claim it treats or cures perimenopause or replaces HRT. What it offers is a structured, individualised approach to diet, routine, sleep hygiene and stress that many women report finding supportive.
Delivered by Nicoletta Peloni (mGNC, mANP), focusing on stable blood sugar, protein and fibre adequacy, gut health, and bone-protective nutrition — support that may support wellbeing during the transition, not a treatment that resolves a hormonal condition. Our page on naturopathy describes a related approach.
Led by Laura-Maria Schober — MSc Applied Positive Psychology (UEL), EMCC Senior Practitioner. Body-based techniques to help regulate the nervous system, giving women practical tools for downregulating a stress response the transition can amplify.
Provided by Binta Patel (ICF ACC) — direction, boundaries, and decision-making during a period of significant personal change, alongside the demands perimenopause often coincides with (ageing parents, teenagers, career change). Where work is the main question, career coaching is a related option.
Integrative perimenopause care at Dental & Wellness London is complementary to medical care, not a substitute for it. HRT is an effective and appropriate medical treatment for many women, and the decision to use it is one to make with a GP or menopause specialist. We do not advise for or against HRT. Where symptoms are severe, sudden, or involve unusual bleeding, medical assessment comes first.
| Free 20-Minute Chat | We help you decide which practitioner fits your dominant symptom — nutrition for energy, flushes and iron; Ayurveda for routine, dryness and the whole-pattern view; somatic work for anxiety and sleep. |
| Initial Consultation — £75 | A 60–90 minute session with your chosen practitioner(s). A dental baseline (hygiene appointment and examination) is added if oral symptoms — dry mouth, bleeding gums, clenching — are present. |
| Ongoing Reviews — £35 (Ayurvedic £50), months 2–6 | One or two strands run alongside your GP-led care, reviewed cheaply and adjusted as the hormonal picture shifts. No programme to buy — one team that sees the whole pattern. |

No — and we would be wary of anyone who claimed it could. Perimenopause is a natural transition, not a disease to be cured. Integrative care offers structured, whole-person support that many women report finding helpful during the transition. It is complementary to your medical care, never a substitute for it.
No. Hormone replacement therapy is a medical decision to make with your GP or menopause specialist. Our integrative care sits alongside HRT — or alongside whatever medical pathway you choose. We do not advise for or against HRT.
Yes, particularly if your symptoms are severe, sudden, or significantly affecting your life, or if you have any unusual bleeding. Medical assessment comes first; integrative support is something we add to that foundation.
We do not prescribe hormones or medication for perimenopause. Nutritional and Ayurvedic practitioners may discuss diet, lifestyle, and supplements, but we will always ask you to check supplements with your GP or pharmacist.
Ayurveda is a traditional system of medicine focused on diet, routine, and lifestyle tailored to the individual. We present it as a traditional practice, not as Western medicine. Some elements overlap with evidence-based approaches; others are traditional and not established by clinical trials.
It depends on your most pressing concerns. Sleep and anxiety often point toward somatic work; weight, energy, and digestion toward nutrition; daily structure toward Ayurvedic lifestyle guidance; life and identity questions toward coaching. The free initial conversation helps us recommend a sensible starting point.
A free 20-minute initial conversation, an integrative consultation at £125, individual practitioner consultations from £75, and a coordinated monthly care plan from £450. All prices are confirmed in writing before any work begins.
Not at all. Most women begin with one or two disciplines and add others only if and when it makes sense. The plan is built around your priorities and budget.
This service is designed for women in the perimenopause transition, but our individual disciplines — nutrition, somatic therapy, coaching, Ayurvedic care — are available more broadly. Ask at the initial conversation.
