Is it serious if it lasts more than 3 weeks?

General

Possibly — that's why the rule exists. Most persistent ulcers turn out to be benign causes (deficiency, local irritation, immune patterns). A small percentage represent something needing urgent treatment including oral cancer screening. The 3-week rule ensures everyone gets evaluated rather than waiting.

Is it cheaper to remove an old tattoo?

General

Often yes — fewer sessions needed means lower total cost. A 15-year-old faded tattoo might clear in 4–6 sessions vs 8–10 for similar fresh work. We quote realistic per-tattoo plan at consultation based on age and other factors.

Is it better than Bronze or Silver providers?

General

Generally yes for case complexity, refinement planning, and accurate tier assessment. Substantial experience produces pattern recognition that less-experienced providers don't have.

Is edge bonding cheaper than full coverage?

General

Yes. Composite bonding is £175 for a simple case and £350 for a complex one, so a small edge repair sits at the lower end. For a full-smile plan the difference compounds across several teeth. The right level depends on what each tooth actually needs, not on the total budget a patient wants to hit, and the quote is given in writing before treatment.

How do Koreans treat a double chin?

General

Popular approaches in Korea include fat dissolving injections, V-line thread lifts and jaw contouring. Our Korean V Lift, a mono-thread lift, is £1,600.

How quickly can treatment start?

General

Finance decision in minutes at consultation. Acceptance and plan setup within 1-2 days. Treatment can typically start within 2-3 weeks of consultation (allowing time for impressions, plan finalisation, aligner manufacture). Finance doesn't significantly delay treatment.

How often will I see the dentist?

General

Progress appointments every 4-8 weeks during active treatment. Shorter intervals for complex cases or early treatment. Less frequent appointments later in straightforward cases.

How often do I change aligners?

General

Typically every 1-2 weeks. Depends on case complexity and movement type. Your clinician specifies the change schedule.

How much for non-surgical treatment?

General

ONDA is £300 per session, and a course of four is £1,020 (15% off), including an online personal training session. Aqualyx fat dissolving is from £350 per session. Your full plan, including any skin tightening, is quoted in writing at consultation.

How much for a full sleeve?

General

Large or sleeve work is quoted in writing after assessment, as the cost depends on size, colour complexity and individual response. For reference, tattoo removal at DWL starts from £750 per course of up to 10 appointments, and the patch test is free. 0% APR finance over 12 months via Tabeo, subject to status.

How much does re-treatment cost?

General

Re-treatment uses the same plans as initial Invisalign: Express £2,200 with one refinement, Moderate £3,400 with one refinement, or Unlimited £4,500–£4,900. Minor relapse often suits a smaller plan, and the fee is confirmed in writing after your free consultation.

How much do replacement retainers cost?

General

How many sessions for cover-up prep?

General

Typically 2–4 sessions. Light cover-ups over light originals can need just 1–2; complex cover-ups over heavy originals can need 4–6. Quoted at consultation after discussing your specific cover-up plans.

How many sessions for coloured tattoos?

General

Typically more than black ink — often 10–16 sessions vs 6–10 for black. Varies by specific colours involved. Quoted per-tattoo in consultation based on actual pigment assessment.

How many sessions for a 20-year-old tattoo?

General

Typically 4–6 sessions for substantial clearance. Some clear in 3–4 sessions; some need 6–8 despite age. Individual assessment at consultation gives the realistic estimate.

How long until I see the first change?

General

4–6 weeks after session 1 shows subtle lightening. By session 3 the change is clearly visible. Major clearance happens in sessions 5–8 typically.

How long should I wait before getting the cover-up?

General

Ideally 6–8 weeks after the final fade session. The skin needs to heal fully and final pigment clearance needs to complete. Going to the tattoo artist too soon can compromise both the fade and the new tattoo.

What is the 2 year rule for dentists?

General

There is no national rule that stops you being seen after two years away. NHS practices do not keep permanent registers, so they may treat a returning patient as new. We are a private practice: however long it has been, you book a 30-minute examination (£65) and we start from where things are today.
