Yes. Orthodontic consultations, including Invisalign, are free at Dental & Wellness London. The appointment includes an examination, an iTero digital scan and a ClinCheck preview of the planned tooth movement. You leave with an honest view of whether aligners suit you and, if they do, a written plan with the fee.
Dr Vishal Patel plans and delivers every Invisalign case here, from the first scan to the final retainer check. He is an Invisalign Diamond II provider, in the top 1% of UK Invisalign providers, with an MSc in Aesthetic & Restorative Dentistry and GDC registration 103127. You see the same clinician at every review.
A dental hygienist assesses the health of your gums, removes plaque and hardened calculus above and below the gumline, polishes away stain and shows you how to clean effectively at home. Their main purpose is to prevent and treat gum disease, which is common, often painless and a leading cause of tooth loss in adults.

Mail-order aligners remove the in-person examination, gum check and supervision that keep aligner treatment safe and predictable. On a very simple case that may not matter; on anything needing judgement it can lead to problems that cost more to correct. We recommend supervised treatment, and explain the trade-offs honestly at consultation.
We now use three plans: Express, Moderate and Unlimited. Cases once described as Lite usually fall within Express or Moderate, and those described as Comprehensive or five-year plans usually fall within Unlimited, at £4,500–£4,900. Your ClinCheck confirms which plan applies to your teeth.
Yes, where an old amalgam filling has failed, cracked or is undermining the tooth, we can replace it with a ceramic inlay or onlay. We assess each filling individually; a sound filling with no decay beneath it does not always need replacing. Your options and fees are set out in a written plan.
Quotes differ because cases differ: how far teeth need to move, whether one or both arches are treated, and whether refinements are needed. They also differ in what they include, such as reviews, enamel shaping and retainers. Asking what each fee covers is the only way to compare quotes fairly.
Yes. We offer 0% APR finance over 12 months via Tabeo, subject to status. That spreads the full fee for any plan into twelve equal monthly payments. The total is confirmed in writing with your treatment plan, and you can take it home to consider before booking.
Often, yes. If the crack has not reached the root, an onlay can hold the cusps together and protect the tooth from splitting further, with less preparation than a crown. If the crack is extensive, a full crown may be needed. A crack extending into the root usually means the tooth cannot be saved.
Yes. Orthodontic consultations, including Invisalign, are free. The appointment includes an examination, an iTero digital scan and a ClinCheck preview of the planned tooth movement. If aligners are not right for your case we tell you at that visit, and there is no obligation to proceed.
London fees vary, so compare what each quote includes as well as the headline figure. At our practice on Essex Road, Islington, our three plans are Express £2,200, Moderate £3,400 and Unlimited £4,500–£4,900. Your written plan sets out what the fee covers, with retainers quoted alongside it, before treatment begins.
Prices vary between clinics and with the complexity of the case. At Dental & Wellness London, Invisalign Express is £2,200, Moderate is £3,400 and Unlimited is £4,500–£4,900. The consultation, including an iTero scan and ClinCheck preview, is free, so you know which plan applies and what it includes before you commit.
Yes. Many patients book their dental examination and hygiene appointment on the same day to save a second trip to Essex Road. The examination is £65 and the hygiene appointment is £85, each lasting 30 minutes. Call 020 8127 4567 and we will arrange them back to back.
We explain what we found in plain terms and recommend periodontal charting, which is £195, to measure every tooth and set a baseline. Periodontal treatment is £255 per appointment, usually over a short course. Early gum disease often responds well to treatment and better home care, though results vary.
Both are reliable. An Emax crown is all ceramic, with natural translucency and no metal, so it suits front teeth and visible back teeth. A porcelain-bonded crown has a metal core and remains a strong option under heavy biting forces, although a thin dark line can sometimes show at the gum. We recommend one based on the tooth and your bite.
Well-made ceramic crowns, onlays and inlays commonly last ten to fifteen years, and many last longer. How long yours lasts depends on the health of the tooth underneath, your bite, any grinding, your diet and how well the margins are kept clean. Results vary, and regular examinations help us spot problems early.
An inlay sits inside the tooth between the cusps, replacing a cavity. An onlay replaces part of the biting surface, including one or more cusps. A crown covers the whole visible tooth. The more of the tooth that is damaged, the more coverage it needs; we choose the smallest restoration that will reliably protect it.
At Dental & Wellness London on Essex Road, a porcelain-bonded crown is £950 and a full-ceramic Emax crown is up to £1,200. Ceramic onlays are £850 and inlays £750. The temporary restoration between visits is included. We give you a written plan after assessment, and 0% APR finance over 12 months via Tabeo is available, subject to status.

No. Dental & Wellness London is a private practice and does not provide NHS treatment. Purely cosmetic treatment such as whitening, bonding for appearance and veneers is generally not available on the NHS in any case. Our fees are published and confirmed in writing before treatment, with 0% APR finance over 12 months via Tabeo available, subject to status.
Whitening takes around two weeks with home trays, and bonding is usually completed in one visit. Porcelain veneers typically need two or three appointments over a few weeks. Where alignment comes first, Invisalign can take from a few months to over a year depending on the case. Your written plan sets out the expected timeline.
Smile design is the planning stage of cosmetic dentistry. We assess tooth shape, proportion, colour and position against your lips, face and the way you speak and smile, then plan the most conservative sequence of treatment to achieve the change. Larger cases may include a mock-up so you can preview the proposed shape before committing.
Often, yes. If teeth are crowded or rotated, veneers or bonding have to be built thicker to disguise their position. Straightening first with clear aligners usually means less tooth is prepared, less material is needed and the result looks more natural. Dr Vishal Patel is an Invisalign Diamond II provider and will discuss this at consultation.
