Composite bonding at Dental & Wellness London in Islington starts at £175 per tooth for a simple case, rising to £350 per tooth for a complex case. A full upper anterior smile of six teeth typically lands £1,050–£2,100, depending on how much surface area we cover. 0% APR finance over 12 months via Tabeo, subject to status.
Why we publish pricing transparently
The Competition and Markets Authority requires UK private dental clinics to publish treatment fees openly enough that patients can make an informed decision before booking. We go beyond the minimum requirement — every fee is on this page, in a table, with the variables explained. The reason is partly compliance and partly philosophy. Patients shouldn't have to call three clinics to discover what something costs.
The per-tooth pricing framework
Composite bonding pricing varies per tooth because the work varies per tooth. We use two bands at DWL:
Band 1 · Simple case — £175 per tooth
Small repair or minor reshape. A chipped corner, a smoothed edge, a single point of restoration. Treatment time 30–45 minutes. The most common single-tooth case we see.
Band 2 · Complex case — £350 per tooth
Reserved for the most complex cases — significant colour change, masking of underlying discolouration, or precision work on a focal tooth in a multi-tooth aesthetic plan. Treatment time 75–90 minutes per tooth.
Where teeth in the same case fall into different bands, each tooth is priced individually. We give you the per-tooth breakdown in writing before treatment.
Full-smile case examples
Most cosmetic bonding patients book the upper anterior six teeth (the visible smile zone). The total varies by per-tooth band:

Lower anterior teeth, when included, are priced on the same per-tooth band basis. Most cosmetic cases focus on the upper smile and don't require lower bonding. For wider UK context, see how much composite bonding costs in the UK.

What's included in the per-tooth fee
The per-tooth fee covers the complete placement work for that tooth at the time of treatment, as described in our guide to the composite bonding process:
- Tooth preparation and surface etching
- Resin layering with light-curing between increments
- Sculpting and finishing
- High-polish protocol
- Same-session checks and refinements
- Post-treatment photography
- Written aftercare summary
Not included in the per-tooth fee but separately priced (and disclosed before treatment):
- Consultation £65
- Digital smile-design preview for multi-tooth cases — quoted in writing
- Davies-technique hard stabilisation splint if you grind — £495 (strongly recommended for grinders; protects the bonding investment)
- Hygienist appointment before placement if oral hygiene needs attention — £85 (30 minutes)
- Polish appointments at 12–18 month intervals after placement — quoted in writing
- Repair appointments if a chip occurs — quoted in writing

How honest pricing changes the consultation
Because the pricing is on this page, the consultation conversation can focus on what actually matters: which teeth need work, what the right band is for each, and what the realistic outcome will be. We don't spend the appointment "building rapport" before revealing a number. The number is here. The consultation is the assessment.
This matters because the cosmetic dentistry market has earned a reputation for opaque pricing — quote ranges that move depending on perceived patient willingness to pay, package deals that obscure per-tooth maths, and unclear consultation fees. We don't operate that way. The fee is the fee.

What pricing won't tell you
The number above is the cost. It isn't the answer to whether composite bonding is the right treatment for you. That answer comes from the consultation: what your enamel looks like, whether your bite supports bonding longevity, whether your colour and shape goals are achievable with bonding versus another treatment, and whether you'd be better served by orthodontics first.
Pricing without case-fit assessment is a number without context. We give you both. The long-term smile view means we say no often when bonding isn't the right answer — sometimes the proportionate treatment is something else entirely, and we'd rather you spend the consultation fee than the treatment fee on the wrong intervention.
Frequently asked questions
How much for a full upper smile of bonding?
A full upper anterior smile of six teeth typically costs £1,050–£2,100 at DWL, depending on per-tooth band. A simple case runs closer to £1,050; a complex case closer to £2,100. The per-tooth breakdown is in writing before treatment so you see exactly which tooth is in which band. Finance over 12 months at 0% APR via Tabeo, subject to status, brings this to roughly £88–£175 per month.
Why does pricing vary per tooth?
Per-tooth pricing reflects the actual work involved. A small chip repair takes 30 minutes and minimal resin; a complex anterior cosmetic case takes 90 minutes and significant artistic refinement. Pricing across two bands (£175 · £350) lets us match the fee to the actual clinical complexity. Flat-rate pricing means either overcharging simple cases or undercharging complex ones — neither serves patients well.
Do you offer finance for bonding?
Yes — we offer 0% APR finance over 12 months via Tabeo, subject to status. Decision in minutes.
Is the consultation fee separate?
Yes — the £65 consultation fee is paid at the time of consultation. You take away a written assessment and recommendation, whether or not you go on to treatment.
Can I see the price before treatment starts?
Yes, always. We give you the per-tooth breakdown in writing during your consultation and re-confirm at the start of the treatment appointment. No tooth gets started without an agreed price. If the case is more complex than first assessed, we stop and discuss before continuing — never increase the bill mid-treatment without your written agreement.
Do you do payment plans for partial bonding?
A partial-bonding plan of two or three simple teeth (£350–£525) is usually paid for at the appointment. Larger cases can use 0% APR finance over 12 months via Tabeo, subject to status — discuss at consultation. We can also structure across appointments (e.g. three teeth across two visits, payment per visit) if that's more workable than financing.
