What overbite actually is
Vertical overlap of upper front teeth covering lower front teeth at rest. Normal overlap is 2-3mm; 4mm+ is classified as deep bite. Distinct from overjet (horizontal protrusion). Many deep bites can be corrected with our Invisalign treatment.

Why overbite matters beyond aesthetics
Accelerated front-tooth wear from heavy contact, higher TMJ problem rates, and cosmetic-dentistry implications — restorations placed on an uncorrected bite wear similarly. Crowding often sits alongside a deep bite; see Invisalign for crowded teeth.
How Invisalign corrects overbite
Intrusion of front teeth, extrusion of back teeth, bonded attachments for directional force, and sequential aligners that build the correction progressively. Where space is limited, arch expansion is often preferred; read about our non-extraction method.

Tier matching
Mild (1-3mm): Express or Moderate, 6-9 months. Moderate (3-5mm): Moderate or Unlimited, 12-15 months. Severe (5mm+): Unlimited, 15-18+ months. Current fees are on our Invisalign cost page.

Why Diamond II Provider matters
Overbite correction is one of the more clinically complex Invisalign movements; Diamond II experience expands the range of cases predictably treatable with aligners rather than defaulting to fixed braces (see clear aligners vs fixed braces).
