Skin laxity varies — mild, moderate, significant. Different degrees respond to different non-surgical modalities. Significant laxity is referred to plastic surgery; we are honest about that boundary.

Loose and sagging skin: matched to the degree of laxity

Why skin sags

With age, the face loses collagen and elastin, fat pads thin and descend, and the jawbone loses some support. The result is softer skin, jowls and a less defined jawline. Sun damage, weight changes and genetics all play a part. Our comparison of HIFU vs radiofrequency vs microwave explains the energy-based tightening options.

Is it possible to tighten loose skin on the face?

Yes, to a degree, and the right treatment depends on how much laxity there is:

  • Mild laxity: laser skin tightening (from £195), Profhilo (£350, or £625 for two) and skin boosters (from £250).
  • Moderate laxity and jowls: restoring support with cheek filler (from £350), sometimes with a thread lift (PDO threads from £600 for a single area; the Korean V Lift mono-thread lift is £1,600).
  • Significant laxity: heavy jowls or loose neck skin respond best to surgery, and we will refer you.

What tightens sagging jowls?

Often, restoring support in the mid-face lifts the jowl more naturally than treating the jowl itself. A thread lift can add lift along the jaw. Results are an improvement, not a surgical facelift. Our guide to skin tightening vs thread lifts explains the difference.

Non-surgical face lift in London

A planned combination of dermal filler, Profhilo, polynucleotides and muscle-relaxing treatment — designed as one comprehensive plan by a dentist-injector with MSc Aesthetic & Restorative Dentistry, not a list of separate procedures.

Laser skin tightening in London

Gentle heat beneath the skin surface to stimulate collagen and gradually firm mild laxity, with little or no downtime.

Profhilo — skin bio-remodelling, not filler

Profhilo isn't filler. It's an injectable bio-remodelling treatment that improves skin quality — texture, hydration, elasticity — without adding volume. Particularly well-matched to patients who don't need filler but want skin that ages slower.

PDO thread lift in London

A mechanical lifting option using absorbable sutures — moderate effect, longer downtime, and less often our first recommendation than skin boosters or filler.

Dermal fillers in Islington

Hyaluronic acid filler for the lips, cheeks, tear troughs, chin and jawline, planned in proportion by dentist Dr Vishal Patel. From £200.

Neck rejuvenation in London

Neck ageing rarely responds to a single intervention. We use a combined approach — muscle-relaxing for platysmal banding, skin boosters for texture, laser for tone, threads where appropriate. Tailored protocol per patient.

Transparent pricing

All prices include consultation, treatment, and aftercare. No hidden fees. 0% APR finance available on plans over 12 or 24 months.

Is it possible to tighten loose skin on the face?

Yes, to a degree. Mild to moderate laxity responds to laser tightening, skin boosters, filler support or a thread lift.

What tightens sagging jowls?

Restoring mid-face support with filler often lifts the jowl most naturally; a thread lift can add lift along the jaw.

What is the most effective treatment for loose skin on the face?

It depends on how much laxity there is. We match the treatment at consultation.

When do I need a surgical facelift instead?

With heavy jowls or significant loose neck skin. We will refer you if surgery is the better option.

How does laser tightening help?

It heats deeper layers of the skin to stimulate collagen, gradually firming mild laxity.

How do thread lifts help?

Dissolvable threads lift and support tissue and stimulate collagen. A PDO thread lift starts from £600 for a single area; the Korean V Lift, a separate mono-thread lift, is £1,600.

How much does loose skin treatment cost?

Laser tightening from £195, Profhilo £350 or £625 for two, filler from £350, PDO threads from £600 for a single area, and the Korean V Lift mono-thread lift £1,600. Consultation £65.

What results can I realistically expect?

A visible improvement, not a surgical-level lift.
